-This was the period that

The Triassic period (248 - 206
million years ago) followed the
biggest mass extinction in the
history of the Earth, the
Permian extinction. This left
the Earth relatively unpoplated
(especially the seas) and ready
for new life. During the Triassic
period, the first dinosaurs and
the first mammals appeared.
Many plant families were
culled; giant club mosses and
horsetails also went extinct
during the late Permian, and
new forms evolved during the
Triassic. The Triassic was the
beginning of a boom in conifers
and cycadophytes.

The dinosaurs dominated the
Earth's surface during this
period mainly due to the
sudden disappearance of most
mammal-like reptiles genres.
However, they were some of
these kinds of mammal-like
reptiles, that over again
Triassic diversification, thus
playing an important role in the
emergence of true mammals,
which evolved from these
reptile-mammals in the late
Triassic.

6. Flying animals in the
Triassic
The Triassic air environment
was dominated by several
small winged reptiles that
made short flights from tree
to tree. The wings of these
little
feathered
winged
reptiles they lacked feathers
but were formed by a
membranous tissue that was
to develop into the late
Triassic
onset
of
the
pterosaurs, a large group of
flying reptiles that were
already
capable
of
performing certain duration
flights.

7. Aquatic animals in the
Triassic
In the aquatic environment,
highlighting the molluscs,
which
experienced
a
dramatic recovery after near
annihilation in the Permian,
and highlighted including
ammonoids. Other groups of
marine organisms were less
effective at diversification,
but in the late Triassic begin
to appear some groups of
aquatic
reptiles,
among
which the nothosaurs, the
Placodontes
and
ichthyosaurs.
