3. There are a number of traits and skills all HR
(human resources) representatives must
possess in order to effectively run the HR
department. Focus, the ability to multitask,
and strong decision-making skills are all
important, in addition to an extensive
understanding of employee legislation.

4. In order to serve effectively in a company’s HR
department, representatives should review the
company’s mission statement regularly. All
strategies and solutions developed in the
department should in some way relate to the
company’s overarching goals toward production
and customer relations. An equally important
step to take is to establish employee trust. While
the HR department is technically a corporate
entity, it is the HR representative’s job to make
sure that all policies are fair to workers, while
also ensuring that all procedures are effective
and beneficial to the company.
