Webquest has been around since 1995 and
was created by the San Diego State University.

Webquest is a tool to help students use
the internet to the best of their ability and to
acquire higher order thinking skills for the
technology they are using. (Questgarden

5. How do you use this so-called webquest?
• As a teacher you want students to develop
their own questions about your content
knowledge. A webquest be the gateway for
them to access the answers.
• As a teacher you want to provide resources to
their questions.

• A webquest is typically • 3 things that should also be
divided up into these parts. on your webquest is:
• Introduction • Resources
• Task • Evaluation- so the students
• Process to complete the can see exactly what is
task. expected of them
• Conclusion- So you can give
your students feed-back
during the process.

9. Why is webquest beneficial in the classroom?
• A webquest is a great alternative to a
worksheet.
• Even young students can use them.
• A webquest gets students to think about real
world problems and help the student use
higher order thinking.
• The resources are already posted so it saves
time for the students so they do not have to
look up resources but can give a head start to
the webquest process. Very easy for kids.
