  2. 2. What Is HR? A human resource is one person within a company's overall workforce, with each person lending their skills and talents to the organization to help it succeed. Any person willing to trade their labor, knowledge, or time for compensation in an effort to improve the organization is a human resource. It doesn't matter if they're part-time, full-time, freelance, or contract employees (Susan M.   3. 3. Why HR? 1. Chance to change the lives of other people :- An HR Professional can have a great impact on others by clocking in each day. The day-to-day duties of HR make employee welfare and happiness a matter of professional responsibility. 2. Guide others in their career building :- Not every employee has a clear plan for the direction of their career. As an HR Professional, I will have the opportunity to guide and when required, can motivate employees towards pursuing their new career opportunities. As a mentor, L can help many to find what works best for them. 3. Support organizational alignment :- As an HR, I can help connect dots between individual and team responsibilities and can design effective performance management programs that align team goals with company goals.

Roles of an HR • HR Manager :- HR Managaer is responsible for employment policies & procedures, overseeing payroll and rewards & recognition programs as well as managing workplace safety initiatives. Along with administering employee benefit programs, the HR Manager role involves finding, screening, recruiting new job applicants and developing training & development programs for all employees. • HR Associate/Officer :- HR Officer is a skilled and qualified HR expert whose role is pivotal to any organization with a workforce. They are responsibilities for managing every aspect of the employment process, including orientation, and training of new staff members, and managing payroll.

Education/Experience Required HR MANAGER & HR ASSOCIATE/OFFICER An HR Manager job description should detail the need for an individual with strong collaboration, communication, negotiation & interpersonal skills. It is also essential that they are up to date with an understanding of industry awards, current pay rates & industry trends surrounding non-monetary benefits. Education is a key component for this role. A minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR or Business would be necessary, along with previous experience of 3 to 5 years in the HR field.

Employment growth depends largely on the performance & growth of individual companies. As new companies form & organizations expand their operations, they will need more HR Managers to administer & monitor their programs. HR ASSOCIATE/OFFICER Employment of HR Officer is projected to grow 7% from 2019 to 2019, faster than the average for all occupations. Companies are likely to continue to outsource HR functions to organizations that provide these services, rather than directly employing HR Officers. In addition, services of HR Generalists will likely be needed to handle increasingly complex employment laws and benefit options.
