How did you attract/address your audience?
This is Joe Egan, a 16-year-old boy from South London; He normally socialises, play games and
watches variety of movies; like action, comedy and Teen films such as Mean Girls, High School
Musical, Bourne Identity, James Bond films, The Expendables and Hangover. He loves the battles of
weaponry and fight scenes that excites him and keeps him interested in action films. Joe discovers
his movies via the internet and friends by ‘Word of Mouth’ and watches the movies in cinema more
often than the internet if the latest releases are out. He is from a Middle class background family,
and he originates from Ireland. He plays this great stereotype as a French enemy in the film
‘Operation Croak’ as he is aggressive and violent due to his national background.
The love of his music is in variety of genres like hip-hop, rock n roll and gothic music, which he listens
to XFM and Kiss FM radio station on a daily bases. His Favourite TV programmes are mainly action/
comedy; 24, Heroes, The Inbetweeners and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air which are associated on Sky
1, BBC and Channel 4 and many more channels.
This particular audience would appeal to this person, as he likes action films with bloody battles and
actions of artillery that suits an appeal of our age audience. In addition, it gives a wide range of
ethnic audience that will suit our film ‘Operation Croak’. As he loves his movies, it benefits in our
genre. I believe my target audience is a range of teenagers to young adults. As a young audience
would prefer a great movie with battles, guns and blood in movies.
Although the filming might be produced in a DVD format, which will sell on internet shopping sites
like eBay, Play.com and Amazon. The communication has spread dramatically over the years and I
think by the ‘Word of Mouth’ from leading social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace
would reach our target audience.
