Today’s panel will be covering a topic that I find both interesting and critically important. The name
“From Tech to Tome...” comes from a piece I wrote last March amidst some other discussion in the
blogosphere (a fancy name for library blogs) about the extent to which we can push our staff toward
technology.
It became apparent to me, rather quickly, that there are a number of emotional and social
implications wrapped up in the relationships we all have toward the technology we employ in our
libraries.
At the same time, we’re entering in to a new century that is almost defined by the human mast
