Choose the freshest foods you can find, preferably from local suppliers and organic growers. The improvement in the nutrient density with local produce is sometimes remarkable. Whenever I go to Greece, for example, I am always amazed at the eggs. When they are cooked sunny side up, the yolks are a magnificent deep yellow-orange color. They taste delicious and have ten times the amount of the vital brain nutrient docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) as do eggs produced on an American factory farm.
