Famous meeting places in Japan
Hachikō Bronze statues – Located in Shibuya Station and a
popular meeting spot. The station entrance near this statue is
named "Hachikō-guchi", meaning "The Hachikō Entrance/Exit",
and is one of Shibuya Station's five exits. Shibuya is also
famous as fashion center of Japan, particularly for young
people, and as a major nightlife area.
Akibahara - also known as Akihabara Electric Town (Japanese:
秋葉原電気街 Hepburn: Akihabara Denki Gai?), is a district of
Tokyo, Japan. It is located less than five minutes by rail from
Tokyo Station. Major shopping area for electronic, computer,
anime, games and otaku goods, including new and used items.
2. Tokyo Tower ( 東京タワー Tōkyō tawā?) is a communications
and observation tower located in Shiba Park, Minato, Tokyo,
Japan. At 333 metres (1,093 ft), it is the second-tallest artificial
structure in Japan. The structure is an Eiffel Tower-inspired
lattice tower that is painted white and international orange to
comply with air safety regulations.
Tokyo Bay ( 東京湾 Tōkyō-wan?) is a bay in the southern Kantō
region of Japan, and spans the coasts of Tokyo, Kanagawa
Prefecture, and Chiba Prefecture. Tokyo Bay is connected to
the Pacific Ocean by the Uraga Channel. Its old name was Edo
Bay ( 江戸湾 Edo-wan?). The Tokyo Bay region is both the
most populous and largest industrialized area in Japan
3. Tokyo Disneyland ( 東京ディズニーランド Tōkyō Dizunīrando?)
is a 115-acre (46.5 ha) theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort
located in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan, near Tokyo.[1] Its main gate
is directly adjacent to both Maihama Station and Tokyo
Disneyland Station. It was the first Disney park to be built
outside of the United States and opened on April 15, 1983.
Kinkaku-ji ( 金閣寺 ?, lit. "Temple of the Golden Pavilion"), officially
named Rokuon-ji ( 鹿苑寺 ?, lit. "Deer Garden Temple"), is a
Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. The garden complex is
an excellent example of Muromachi period garden design.[3]
The Muromachi period is considered to be a classical age of
Japanese garden design.
