Leadership Powerpoint ( Jeff)

 1. 1. Sample Powerpoint by Jeff McAndrew Leadership and Focus: Critical for Success
 2. 3.

“ There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.”

Anonymous

 3. 4. The Five C’s of Communication

1. Connect

Leaders must show that they value employees. Employee engagement is a direct reflection on how they see their boss.

2. Career: Leaders should provide challenging and meaningful work with opportunities for career advancement. Most people want to do new things in their jobs and not do the same stuff over and over again.

3. Clarity: Leaders must communicate a clear vision. Success in life and organizations is to great extent determined by how clear individuals are about their goals and what they really want to achieve.

4. Contribute: People want to know that their input matters and that they are contributing to the success of the organization.

5. Congratulate: Good leaders give a lot of feedback. They coach and convey important ideas.

 4. 5. Focus

1. Your focus needs to be simple and clear

2. Your focus needs to be memorable

3. Your focus needs an enemy

4. Your focus is not a product

5. Your focus does not come without a price

 5. 6.

1 . Focus needs to be simple and clear : Think transparent. What you are aiming for should be obvious. Ambiguity has no place in your pathway to success. It should be clear to team members what you are doing and what you are striving for.

 6. 7.

2. Your focus needs to be memorable : Your mind should be stimulated by the smallest of coincidences, even if you are not thinking of your goals at the time. If your focus is strong enough your mind will automatically align and assimilate facts within your long term goals.

 7. 8.

Your focus needs an enemy: At each moment, you are either moving toward or away from your goals. In addition to your desires, the things that move you away are bad habits, competition or the threat of mediocrity. We are what we think about most often and those thoughts should be aligned by goals.

 8. 9.

Your focus is not a product: The hand cannot touch your focus, only your heart. Concentrate on benefits received, the feeling enjoyed. That is what matters the most. It all starts with having the heart and soul to focus strongly on what you really want to get out of life---and then GO GRAB IT.

 9. 10.

“ Teamwork is the ability to work together for a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”

Andrew Carnegie

 10. 11.

“ Remember that life is kind of like a race. We are all racing to our own unique and creative destinations, trying to find our ideal selves.” anonymous

 11. 12. Time Management Tips

Reduce Frustration: With effective planning, it’s easier to release the full power of creativity and productivity.

Maintain Direction: Much of the dissatisfaction and anxiety come from not knowing where you are going, or you feel like you are going nowhere.

Open yourself up to more satisfaction: We are often burdened with unconscious guilt for those undone things we think we should be doing or should have done. Learn how to prioritize and do the mundane or unpleasant things first.

 12. 13. Achievement Tips
 13. 14.

Know Your Outcome

If you don't know what you want you'll end up with what you get. If you do know what it is then you are half way towards getting it. If not, work with a coach to discover what you really want for yourself now and for your future.

2. Know why you want it

Why do you want to achieve this goal? What do you imagine you will have when you have reached this successful place? Actually see yourself having achieved this goal and ask yourself so what do I have now?

3. What are you really willing to do to get what you want?

Nothing changes without taking action. What actions are you willing to take to change the status quo? What new decisions must you make to get you nearer to your goal?

4. Get into momentum

At first you¹ll be putting in ten units of effort to get one unit of reward. Are you prepared to do what it takes to get into momentum in the early stages until you get to ten units in and 50 units out?

5. Don't forget yourself!

You need space and time to stay in balance, keep healthy and pursue activities that make you feel good. All work and no play as they say!
