4. A house, a tree, they all can be the
protector and shelter of human beings.
But what is the difference of normal
house and a tree. A tree is a living
thing, it has leaves, they can change
colors. A tree is natural structure, it has
great spiral system created by the
nature. A tree is a place where lights
shadow weather and creatures can all
stop by.
What if a house is not only a simple
shelter, but can give you all the sense
and feeling that a tree brings to you.
The house can accept rain water, even
let it go inside building, the house
need you to climb up step by step with
spiral stairs, the house can guide the
light and wind go through and also
provide the view from standing on the
top of the tree.

among leaves and branches.It can let
sunlight reach the ground as well as rain.
In the building which is a central skylight.
Columns are mainly used for suppoting
the load from building and people.

The project basically building a new train
station serve the high speed railway. But at
the mean time allow the local train come
through. Both Old train staion and New one
are working at the same time. The new train
station will be a mirror figure of the old one
reference to the Collage Avenue and there is a
bridge link them together. No matter from
functional or locational direction, the whole
transaportation system will work together,
like a Linkage machine.

12. Roof panels are precast. In 4 different
thickness. But while installing them on the
building, all of them will be put in random
positions.
At this part of roof, between the columns,
there are precast concrete square tubes
which compose to the system of “grating”.
It can help absorb light and control the way to
bring it down to the platform.
Because the most part of structure will lean to a same
direction which will cause the structure weak points collaps.
So use the different layer of same structure, but let them pull
each other, and take advantage of the topography, the most
left side structure will pull the middle part. The middle group
wil puul the structure on the top of the railways. By this way
can make the structure balance.
But at the part dosent connect to the mean part of station. Use
cables on one side to adjust strength of structure.

14. The Concept of the Rebirth Musem evolves from the
actual regeneration of plants. Diagrams illustrate the
growth of a flower from bud to fruit. Assuming the
highline is a plant, the new space is extended along the
coast of New York. The highline it self is a green space
for people to enjoy their time and relaxation. When
trying to build a museum near the highline, the most
important thing is to keep the highline’s own character
and invovle the structure. In other words, the museum
emulates the highline. This allows communication
between people and nature, art, and architecture.
The highline is the green area,
It based on old light train line,
create a space can let people
both reach nature and city.
When trying to make a museum
near the highline, the same level
in the museum will merge the art
with nature together, it is like a bud
High line will send people into this
new space, people will enjoy art and
enjoy this space. They will love the
way how the building lead them from
nature coming through to the art world.
And also will bring them back.
This place will be called museum.
It is very potential, highly concentrated
and will be a great part of highline
systerm.
16. The most important structural element in the museum,
is the ramp. The ramp allows the highline to extend into
the struture and make a connection with the galleries.
The ramp consists of two connections: a connection
that is visible from the outside and another connection,
invisible from the outside, with the inside. The ramp
outside is for the structural exhibit, and the ramp inside
is for the art galleries.

The South Mountains are an ancient and deeply eroded
mountain range in western North Carolina. They are
an isolated remnant of the much larger Appalachian
Mountains to the west, and are separated from the
Appalachians by the Catawba River valley.
Because the site is on the higher part of asheville, the
shape of roof can be merged in to the skyline of whole
asheville. Let people can reach the sense
of mountain.

the sun light. This can let
walkers on the road find
the building has different
color from different
angles.

22. The project is about making avoid inside
a box and try to use this form to create a
interior space as long as the exterior surface
represents a building. The project also
takes consider about the skin of the box and
create the whole structure through both digital
and physical modeling way.
