read reviews. When booking a hotel or
restaurant you might look at Trip
advisor, when choosing a new TV
series or movie to watch you’ll check
out Metacritic. Amazon reviews for
everything from book to product
reviews. Looking at Instagram our
favourite celeb might mention a new
product, while looking on our

15. Summary
2020 will be remembered for a lot of things, A Pandemic, World shutting down,
Economic downturn, Pubs closing for way longer than needed and of course the
upsurge in Internet use. But it has to be said the Internet has not let us down the last
few months with very few crashes if any considering the amount of activity.
Yes the internet is here to stay and we’re excited to see what's next. We have seen a lot
changes in the last 5 years so we can only imagine what’s coming. The internet has
managed to shape and change our lives from never leaving our house without our
mobile device to then spending hours on it each day. We are doing everything on it
from shopping, exercising, watching videos, streaming music and most importantly
socialising, it has become our go to for everything.
More and more people, businesses and brands are realising the importance of getting
online with engaging and interactive content especially video. With better algorithms
to search now more than ever it’s important that your website and brand stands apart
from the rest and has something unique to say. Consumers nowadays are more
product savvy and informed with higher expectations and this in turn is pushing
innovation in brand content and marketing. Our fascination and addiction to the
internet is showing no sign of slowing down, if anything we’re eagerly awaiting the
next Facebook or Instagram, roll on 2021!
