4. SATURATION
FACT: Saturation is just an
excuse for lack of skill in any
trade. If it were true, it can be
argued that there are more
than enough lawyers and
dentists, or even IT people in
the market. Is saturation were
true, how do we explain the
fact that refrigerator sales
made record high sales in
1992?
5. ONLY THE TOP, PIONEERING MAKE
THE MONEY
MYTH: All the people at the bottom
of the pyramid are working for the
people at the top. All the people
that are working in the plan are
making the company rich.
FACT: MLM companies are really
just suppliers of products and
services. Distributors are paid
based on the volume of products
sold. And not everyone that joins
an MLM company moves products;
some just choose to become users.
6. “In today’s world,
working for yourself
is actually the safer
route, and working
for a corporation
has become the
riskier
propositions.”- Paul
Zane Pilzer,
Economist
“If I would be given
a chance to do it all
over again, I would
choose NETWORK
MARKETING- Bill
Gates
7. MYTH: QUALITY OF THE
PRODUCT MAY BE LESS
due to the amount of
commissions that are
paid up to the
distributors
FACT: MLM bypasses the
normal supply chain and
advertising to bring
products direct to the
consumers. With wordof- mouth advertising, it is
to the best interest of the
companies to produce
high- quality products for
its distributors to spread
good news instead of the
opposite.

9. MYTH: BECAUSE
MANY PEOPLE
TRIED BUT DID
NOT MAKE IT BIG,
THE BUSINESS
DOESN’T WORK
FACT: No industry works for you. You
have to work for it. Statistics show
that 80% of people who try to start
a traditional business fail in the first
year. Does it mean it doesn’t work?
12. Find equal opportunities. Don’t be
a victim of the survival- of- thefittest technique.
Many of these companies are
truly equal opportunity
businesses, which everyone can
join with a shoestring start- up
capital. For anyone determined
to put in hard work to reach
their dreams, the network
marketing business offers an
unparalleled wealth- building
opportunity.
13. Get a life- changing
business education.
Many networking companies are really business schools that teach values
not found in traditional business schools; the right attitude of success, selfmastery over fear, self- doubts, and lack of self- confidence, money
management skills and time management skills among others.
Latch on to friends who will pull you
up, not push you down. Protect
yourself from negative influences.
One of the advantages of a direct
selling business is that you’re able to
meet new people who have dreams,
aspirations, and core values similar to
yours.
14. Find value in your network. The more people
you can meet in business, the better.
In order to harness the power, your job is to essentially
duplicate your actions by teaching someone to do what
you do. Building a network of people is simply looking
for friends, new and old, who want to go in the same
direction as you do.
15. Develop your most important
business skill. Communicate,
communicate, and communicate.
To have any type of success in direct selling, you’re going to
need to communicate with people. No matter what
technique you use to help share your message, if you are to
make any money, a product or service needs to be sold first.
That’s what I really like about the direct selling industry- their
commitment to helping others succeed.
The potential for greatness is in all of us, and the direct
selling industry does a masterful job of tapping this potential.
Be a leader. Influence others by
being a great teacher.
Direct selling brings out a different type of leader. The world of business develops a type of
leader that builds teams to beat the competition. In direct selling, the type of leader that is
developed is one who influences others to fulfill their dreams.
Instead of beating the enemy, direct selling leader inspire and teach others to find their
financial rewards without harm to others.
16. Don’t work just for
money. Work to
build wealth, not
money. Invest.
Thanks to our current educational
system, most people have been trained
to work for money when instead they
should be working to build wealth. I’ve
been able to meet some very successful
direct selling business owners. For me,
the pleasure was to find that the formula
for success in direct selling is the same
formula my rich dad taught me: Build a
business- it takes up to five years to get a
business up and going before you’ll see a
good level of success. It can take less
time and it can take longer. A business
needs time to grow.
Live your dreams. “Many people
don’t have dreams,” my rich dad said.
“Why?” I asked. “Because dreams
cost money.”
Direct selling companies stress the
importance of going for your dreams.
My rich dad explained, “Being rich
and being able to afford a big house
are not important. What’s important
is striving, learning, doing your best to
develop your personal power to afford
the big house. People who live small
dreams continue to live lives as small
people.” It’s not the size of the home
that’s most important; it’s the size of
the dream that matters most. Many
poor people are poor because they
have given up on dreaming.
