London, in order to be the home for the Great Exhibition of 1851. It was known that "14,000

Cooling tower structures differ in size and design. They all supply the same thing. The cooling load
is by the amount of heat that needs to be extracted from a process. The cooling tower should be
properly sized to reject this same equal amount of heat to the atmosphere.
Cooling towers reject heat through the natural process of evaporation. Warm recirculating water is
sent to the cooling tower where a portion of the water is evaporated into the air passing through the
tower. As the water evaporates the air absorbs heat, which lowers the temperature of the remaining
water. This process is used to provide cooling to the remaining water stream that collects in the
tower basin where it can be pumped back into the system to remove more process or building heat
allowing much of the water used to recycled to meet the cooling demand.

Mortensen shows us that. Heroism and leadership seem to surround him because of this

I felt that the story was well told but could have had more poverty and hardships shown throughout
the film. I also felt like the court case seemed too short and should have been better defended on the
prosecutors' side to add effect and emotion to the film. My favorite part of the film was the court
case, even though I think it should have been longer. I felt the way Ibrahim answered the questions
from the prosecutor and his lawyer were very well said and amusing. "Maybe you should read the

Throughout J.R.R. Tolkien's first part of The Lord of the Rings, "The Fellowship of the Ring", there
are reoccurring themes of evil and corruption, most of which surround the One Ring, and can vary
depending on who possesses the Ring. While both natural evilness and developed evilness are
demonstrated, "The Fellowship of the Ring" suggests that evil is not inherited, but acquired over
time. Evil is prominent throughout "The Fellowship of the Ring". Shortly after Boromir suggests
that they use the Ring against Sauron, Elrond responds saying that the Ring, "is altogether evil"
(267). The Ring was crafted with the sole purpose of evil. This is seen in the inscription on the Ring
which says, "One ring to bring them all and in the darkness to bind them" (50). This script shows
that the ring was created to draw other to "darkness", which is often used to symbolize evil. While

After reading The Two Towers while looking for Christian themes and morals in it, I feel as though I
have gained more from the book. One thing that stood out to me was the split personality of Gollum.
He acts like he is Smeagol, his former self before being corrupted by the ring, to gain the trust of
Frodo and Sam, and he eventually leads the two into a trap and abandons them. Some parallels can
be drawn from Gollum to the devil. We are tempted to trust in what he has to say because it seems
like he wants what is best for us, but in the end, he does not have our best interest in mind. In the

ring itself. Taken from the Dark Lord, Sauron, it offers the wearer unlimited power. This lures many

Hobbit, experiences some personality changes due to the ring. The ring stands for the sin in the
world. Many types of sin lure people constantly throughout life: coveting, hating, and lying are
some of these. If one succumbs to sin, one will experience spiritual changes right away, then mental
changes, then possibly physical changes.

1. When building a structure to withstand an earthquake, there are many ideas and strategies
necessary to consider in order to create a successful building. In order to conserve resources and
manage the limited building time effectively, I had to consider the most important areas to reinforce
my tower. For example, my group spent much of our time building reinforcements between joints
and areas that would be under strain during testing (such as the bases of each of our tower's floors).

It was a war with Gandalf the White against Saruman and Sauron. In the movie, the scenes
involving the members of the fellowship are mostly light, however during scenes of Mordor, the
orcs, Sauron, and Saruman, the lighting is very dark. This is meant to convey despair and ignorance,

Mordor to destroy the ring. The second story line that is followed is Mary and Pippin who were
captured by Orcs in the last scene of the first film which then leads into the last story line of Aragon,
Legolas, and Gimli who are following that group of Orcs whom have Mary and Pippin. In this scene
you hear the quote 'They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard' The use of switching between the three
storylines helps keeps the viewers intrigued in what is happening and also helps follow them all the
different journeys they are all taking. In the first scene you see Frodo and Sam are on the rocky hill
trying to navigate their way through this is where Gollum is first introduced. After that the viewer
sees a wide screen shot of Aragon, Legolas, and Gimli trying to catch up with the orcs that have
Mary and Pippin.

Forest Of Fangorn
Setting: The first major setting of this book is in The Forest of Fangorn , where Merry and Pippin go
to escape the Orcs that kidnapped them, there they meet an Ent(a giant tree creature) named Fangorn
and he gives them food and befriends them. At about the same time Aragorn and the rest of the
fellowship is also in The Forest of Fangorn, where they are being tormented by Saruman. Next the
fellowship goes to Edoras, the Golden Hall of King Theoden, after that they go to Isengard to
confront Saruman. Now we see Frodo and Sam traveling to Mordor and on the way they see Gollum
and they ask him to lead them to Mordor. While Gollum is leading them they reach the Black Gate
of Mordor, but the gate is heavily guarded so Gollum shows them a different path. Gollum then
leads them up Cirith Ungol and through the tunnels of Shelob. Frodo is captured and brought to the
Orc headquarters and this is the last setting in the book.
Plot: The book starts out as Merry and Pippin are being kidnapped by Orcs, they escape the Orcs
and go through The Forest of Fangorn where they meet Fangorn and he helps them. Meanwhile
Aragorn and the rest of the fellowship are looking for Merry and Pippin in The Forest of Fangorn,
when Gandalf appears and he explains to them that he has been reborn and now he is Gandalf the

It also shows how brave and foolish Merry and Pippin can be at times. Gandalf's personality doesn't
really change at all even though he was reborn. This book expands on Gollum's personality, showing
that he is willing to do anything for the ring and also in some instances shows Gollum's better half
Smeagol (which is who he was before the ring corrupted him). The characters in this book are the
same as the last, but they are expanded on more, you really get to know Gollum, Frodo, and Sam
more the details are very vivid and descriptive and some of the characters definitely are
