4. POLARIZED REFRIGERANT OIL ADDITIVE Reverse Technologies’ energy conservation efforts include a patented Polarized Refrigerant Oil Additive (PROA) called Compress Shield. Compress Shield has been evaluated by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program and found to be highly effective.
5. WHY USE COMPRESS SHIELD? According to the Department of Energy / Energy Information Agency statistics, HVAC represents 40% of energy usage in United States commercial buildings. We are able to help reduce your operating costs by an overall average of 5% (GUARANTEED!); reduce your maintenance cost; and extend your equipment life with the use of Compress Shield.
16. Establishment of Baseline A baseline is established prior to the installation of the product to evaluate system performance. Monitoring equipment is utilized to determine energy consumption and operating trends of equipment that will be treated with the PROA.
17. Flow Meters Flow rates, kw/ton, btu, chilled water supply and return temperatures
19. Data Loggers Measure, log, store and report kWh, current, voltage, amps & watts. Analyze electrical loads to manage your energy usage.
20. Installation / Treatment Process Once the baseline has been established, the installation / treatment process will begin. On smaller units, the product is normally introduced through the use of the Schraeder valve on the low pressure or suction side of the system. On larger units the application may also be introduced at the high pressure service or access ports for faster migration.
21. Documented Savings Post monitoring is performed two to three weeks after the treatment process is completed to determine and document actual reduction in energy consumption and/or run times.
22. RETURN ON INVESTMENT (ROI) Cost of the application process normally pays for itself within 18 to 24 months. Some customers have experienced a more rapid Return On Investment (ROI). The ROI will vary depending on the age, condition and use of the system being treated.
