DS 78 @ 25: Keeping the Faith… Meeting people personally is a lot better than scanning and poring over old and blurry pictures… And they are not about to reacquaint themselves with just ordinary people… Nothing can take the place of having that opportunity of exchanging warm hugs, handshakes, sweet greetings, smiles and of course, the laughter… with people one have had the chance of doing so… 25 years ago!

7. DS 78 @ 25: Keeping the Faith… There were difficulties encountered in setting up a feasible organization due to varied reasons and circumstances. The Organization However, due to the common desire of the DS Batch 78 to forge ahead with the project, a Core Team was eventually created to oversee the various aspects of the preparations.

News Article- DS Blue Heights DS Batch ’78 to hold SILVER REUNION The Dominican School high school batch ’78 will hold its silver anniversary reunion on December 27, 2003 at the Dominican School campus. Several meetings, led by the Senior Class organization President Jesus Arturo P. de Vera, are now underway. The planned activities during the event include motorcade, followed by a Eucharistic celebration at the school chapel and a program with its theme, “DS ’78 at 25: Keeping the Faith.” Social activities will also be scheduled in the evening. The alumni of batch ’78 who are residing in the United States will likewise hold a silver reunion in July 2003. These US based members have expressed full support and cooperation for the success of the December affair. Batch ’78 Silver Reunion gives each one the opportunity to rekindle old friendships, to reminisce the good old high school days, to witness how Dominican School has evolved through the years and to acknowledge the positive influence of the Alma Mater through their lives. The core committee aims to encourage the participation of all Batch ’78 alumni in commemorating the milestone and to be a part in the realization of the group’s project, which is a sustainable scholarship program. DS 78 @ 25: Keeping the Faith… After all these preparations, DS Batch 78 knows quite too well that this Silver Anniversary celebrations is just but the beginning… all of these efforts will go for naught if they will not pursue both the gains and challenges of this endeavor…. and in moving on, the essentials are still the same... that is for them to believe in themselves and continue… after 25 years, DS Batch 78 may not be so young but the strength, spirit and values their Alma Mater has endowed on them lives on… Keeping the faith.
