Overcoming the fear of traveling
April 29, 2020
It may not be evident, but some people experience fear and anxiety when traveling. Some are
afraid of ying while others are afraid of the idea of being in a foreign land. Whatever their
reason may be, although valid, it keeps them from experiencing the beauty of the world and its
people. Jessica Leonard.
One of the things that cause a person to feel
anxious about traveling is its spontaneity.
Plan trips, including routes, food
destinations, and picture spots. However,
remember to include in the plan some space
for unplanned events. Not every item on the
list can be done successfully, but this helps
a person cope with fear and anxiety.
Visualize and imagine the joys of being a
traveler. It paints a positive picture of
traveling, which encourages one to take a
step towards traveling for real. Jessica

Rest and stay hydrated. In the days leading
to the trip, be sure to get plenty of sleep.
Bring a bottle of water and a pack of snacks
throughout the travel to prevent exhaustion
and dehydration. Travel with a friend. If
traveling with a crowd makes one feel
suffocated and held back, decide to travel with a buddy rst. This ensures that a person would
have someone to watch over them during the trip. One must do the same to their buddy.

Having a companion can help a nervous traveler feel safer. With a trusted companion,
particularly one who is an experienced traveler, checking bags, hailing public transportation,
and checking into hotels, and heading to the immigration will be easier. Jessica Leonard.
