This document discusses the author's ambition to become a lawyer. It provides three reasons for wanting to pursue this career: the high salaries that lawyers earn, the author's talkative and sarcastic personality being a good fit, and wanting to follow in the footsteps of their grandfather who was also a lawyer. The document then outlines the path to becoming a lawyer, including needing a bachelor's degree first from any major, then attending law school for three years to earn a Juris Doctor degree and pass the bar exam.
1. My Ambition In Life
Everyone wants to be something, to become somebody, to know that the amount to the grand
scheme of the universe. There is always such a deep fear of mediocrity. Eating away telling you
"You aren't worth anything." that it's all useless in the long run. This has been true for a long time. I
believe humans have always felt this way. We have always wanted to matter. I think I finally
realized that this year. I realized that some things really don't change. Someone, somewhere along
the line of time has felt the same way or will feel the same way. Human's are complex creatures yet
we are extremely simple minded. This is obvious as we look in the past, analyze literature and art,
we realize that we have been talking about and thinking the same things for a long time.
The yearning of relevance is what motivates me. I wanna change someone's life, I want to be
something to somebody. Personally, I believe that my ambition is a huge part of my personality
and myself as a human being. This idea, is who I am. It has pushed me to succeed in school, in my
art, my relationships, everything! This has become especially obvious as I worked in this class.
Seeing other characters work and strive for greatness, whether it was being a hero or even changing
for themselves. In Beowulf the story is of the heroic man who defeated a beast named Grendel
who was terrorizing a village of people. Though this story is obviously mythology and a far reach
from reality it is equally obvious that

3. My Ambition In Life Essay
For many children their childhood would consist of going to family, grandparents, friends, aunts
and uncles houses. Me? I would be taking various trips to the hospital. I suppose you could say
there was an element of irregularity for a couple of years of my earliest childhood. However,
without experiencing that journey I would never have known what my ambition in life would be;
many people encounter a prodigious struggle when choosing what they would like to do in the future
. But I on the other hand, don't have to face that.
Despite the numerous interminable and tedious walks up and down countless wards and meeting
with a vast majority of doctors, I was not able to be diagnosed. For a couple of years I had to
struggle and cope with...show more content...
The same questions, same answers; they just came from different people.
Although, there was that one inevitable query which I never had a genuine reply to: "What would
you like to do when you're older?"
The response would take the course of me endeavouring to come with something I profoundly felt,
nonetheless, I knew immediately it wasn't true. I will always recall that significant moment when I
realised what my sincere answer would be. The doctor sat opposite me and took her stethoscope from
around her neck whilst sympathetically talking to me. When the doctors did what they did each time,
it highly intrigued me, how they knew every precise step to take. Predominantly curiosity overcame
me and this was an instance of it. To examine my breathing, the doctor put the ends of the
stethoscope in her ears and the bell on my chest. She informed me to take deep, gentle breaths. I did
as she said.
The doctor moved the bell and listened, then said, "Again."
Consequently, I pondered over what she was hearing. What did my breathing sound like? I
imagine my face said it all, because the next thing she said was, "Would you like to have a go on
one of my spare stethoscopes? Might cheer you up."
A slight smile appeared across her face as she said that. My eyes lit up and I couldn't contain my
excitement and enthusiasm towards the offer. Therefore, without hesitation, I instantly accepted it.
To this day

4. Examples Of Ambition In Life
An Essay on My Ambition in Life
Ambition is not always praiseworthy. Sometimes odium attaches to it. Milton calls it 'the last
infirmity of noble minds'. Ambition for power and conquest has wrought no end of misery in this
world. But ambition also inspires man to 'scorn delights and live laborious days'. It rouses the
spirit of emulation in gifted persons. In the humbler stations of life, to which most of us belong, it
acts as an impetus to good work. Surely such an ambition is not to be condemned. Ambition
becomes a vice only if I seek to improve my position in life at the expense of other, or to serve my
own interest without offending others. When, for example, I am asked to state what my ambition in
life is, the assumption certainly is that...show more content...
I confess a weakness for the ideals of a teacher. I know that a teacher in our country is bound to be
poor. Yet to be a teacher is to me a noble ambition. I like to imagine myself watching the slowly
expanding minds of young people like the petals of flowers, and helping them to receive eagerly
the light of knowledge. But then I hesitate when I think of the poverty, and drudgery of a teacher's
life. It may it may be that, driven by this poverty, I may be forced to sacrifice the ideals that I
cherish in order to do my duties to myself and my family. To take up duties to which one cannot be
blind to the heroism that underlies a teacher's calling. To me that is an inspiring

"A dream without ambition is like a car without gas...you're not going anywhere," (Hampton).
Ambition is something many people have however many people don't know what the true meaning
of ambition is. The dictionary definition of ambition is, "a strong desire to do or to achieve
something, typically requiring determination and hard work" (Dictionary.com). Ambition has made
great leaders since the dawn of time, like Cleopatra, and any great leader adopts, or already
possesses, six habits that are found in the minds and hearts of two of the greatest leaders of the 20th
century, Nelson Mandela and Gandhi, but ambition can be seen as a two–faced word causing it to
have a negative light as well. Humans adapted to change for centuries. Humans adapted to weather,
to wars, and to other humans. Every creature, not just humans, have had to develop over time to new
habits and traits to help them survive. Ambition is one trait that has been around for centuries buried
inside the minds and hearts of humans. The...show more content...

she lost it. Cleopatra lost her kingdom at least twice, almost three times, however, she battled

8. Ambition Essay
Ambition
Before I could really start to write about ambition, I had to ask myself what ambition really was.
What causes people to be ambitious, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of being an
ambitious person? At first, I must admit it was fairly difficult to comprehend. But I found it to all
come together when I related it to another kind of person or group of people – dreamers.
When I think of ambitious people I think of dreamers. These are the people with hopes of one day
conquering and ruling the world single handedly, and having everything work out just the way they
want it to. I also feel that an ambitious person is a confident one. And because of this, they feel there
is nothing they cannot accomplish....show more content...
And in order to dream as large, one would have to be ambitious. I then asked my mother a similar
question, but found a great difference not only in the period of time it took for a response, but in
the answer as well. Her answer was more realistic, almost as if she knew her limitations and her
options, and her dreams had both narrowed. This helped me to understand that high ambitions lie in
the youth of the world. And although adults may be ambitious at heart, their minds help them decide
what is and is not realistic.
Through my experiences in dealing with ambitious people (and being one myself) I found that
ambition may cause certain amounts of unnecessary stress. It may even cause you to forget about
the things that hold great importance in your life. An ambitious person tends to only see his or
her objective, and anything that gets in the way of progress is either ignores or looked at as an
advantage. This in return may cause people to dislike you, not because they want to see you fail,
but instead want you to realize that they have to have ambitions and dreams. And from time to
time, they desire some kind of acknowledgement for their goals that they hope to one day
accomplish. Some people may see this as a form of jealousy, but I see it as being human. We all
want things that we do not have, so why should ambitions be any different?
Therefore, ambition can be perceived in many different

The road to becoming an attorney begins in college Admission to law school requires a bachelor's
degree. Unlike many other careers requiring a bachelor's degree such as medicine, law schools do
not require that an applicant have a degree in any particular major. In fact, the AmericanBar

discipline." (http://www.abanet.org/legaled/prelaw/prep.html) The only advice from the A.B.A. is
that students are "encouraged to pursue an area of study that interests and challenges you, while
