Daily Market Insight

The Nifty extended losses for fifth straight
session and hit fresh low of 2013 on the
back of weak cues from European peers.
Attempts of pull-back were short-lived as
the index faced supply pressure near
5,750 levels.

The 50-share index ended at 5,656.65,
down 37.75 points or 0.66 per cent. It
touched a high of 5,757.75 and a low of
5,647.95 in trade today.

The S&P BSE Sensex closed at 18,768.96,
down 115.23 points or 0.61 per cent. It
touched a high of 19,082.29 and a low of
18,756.65 in trade today.

The S&P BSE Midcap Index fell 1.11 per
cent and the BSE S&P Smallcap Index
was down 1.23 per cent.

The S&P BSE Realty Index was down 2.94
per cent, the S&P BSE Capital Goods
Index was 2.63 per cent lower, the S&P
BSE Power Index slipped 2.46 per cent
and the BSE Auto Index declined 2.02 per
cent. The S&P BSE IT Index was up 0.37
Outlook for the day per cent.

If in coming sessions, Nifty goes below 5,650,
NIFTY 5658.75 -35.65 -0.63%
heavy selling pressure is likely. Nifty has now
entered near term bearish phase. Only if its SENSEX 1872.87 -91.32 -0.48%
sustains above 5,800 level now, trend reversal
may be seen. In coming week, 5,650 shall be CNX
crucial deciding level in near term, and index is SMALLCAP 3107.65 -44.85 -1.42%
likely to witness further selling below this level.
CNXMIDCAP 7336.50 -90.55 -1.22%
Below 5,650, likely support is 5,590-5,540, while
above 5,700, likely target is 5,750-5,780. BANKNIFTY 11238.35 -16.50 -0.15%

The option data suggests that the market participants are currently
visualizing the 6000 mark on the higher side. Very high CALL writing at
6000 Strike price will stop market to move beyond 6000 mark. On the other
side we can see equal PUT writings on 5700 to 5600 strike price. This
indicates that NIFTY down move would be restricted below 5600 mark. Last
session’s option data indicated that NIFTY can have a range of 5600 and
6000 in near term.
