2. HABAKKUK 2:1-3
I will take my stand at my watch post
and station myself on the tower,
and look out to see what he will say to me,
and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
And the LORD answered me:
“Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.
3. HABAKKUK 2:1-3
I will take my stand at my watch post

and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
And the LORD answered me:
“Write the vision;

If it seems slow, wait for it;

4. Brief Summary:
The Book of Habakkuk begins with Habakkuk
crying out to God for an answer to why God’s
chosen people are allowed to suffer in their
captivity (Habakkuk 1:1-4).
5. Brief Summary:
The Lord gives His answer to Habakkuk,
essentially stating, “You wouldn’t believe it if
I told you” (Habakkuk 1: 5-11).
6. Brief Summary:
Habakkuk then follows up by saying, “Ok, you
are God, but still tell me more about why
this is happening” (Habakkuk 1:17-2:1).
7. Brief Summary:
God then answers him again and gives him more
information, then tells the earth to be silent
before Him (Habakkuk 2:2-20).
8. Brief Summary:
Then Habakkuk writes a prayer expressing his
strong faith in God, even through these trials
(Habakkuk 3:1-19).
9. Habakkuk’s name means to
“embrace” or “wrestle.”
he was wrestling with a difficult issue.
10. From Worry to Worship.
From Fear to Faith.
While Habakkuk begins by wondering or
worrying about the world around him and
God’s seeming indifference, he ends by
worshipping God.
12. Sometimes in our Christian life we
think to ourselves, “There must be
something more than this!”
13. We long for something deeper.
Something fulfilling.
Something radical.
Something life-changing.
Something that would really make a difference.
WE LONG FOR INTIMACY WITH GOD!
14. The profound St. Augustine most eloquently said:
To fall in love with God is the greatest of all romances;
To seek Him, the greatest adventure; To find Him, the
greatest human achievement.
THAT’S INTIMACY WITH GOD!
23. Close friendships aren’t instantaneous; they must be
cultivated over time.
In the same way, spiritual unity with the Almighty must
be diligently pursued.
24. Oswald Chambers wrote,
"It is a joy to Jesus when a person takes
time to walk more intimately with Him.
The bearing of fruit is always shown in
Scripture to be a visible result of an
intimate relationship with Jesus
Christ" (My Utmost for His Highest)
25. Pray for a hunger for Him …
A simple but powerful prayer to pray is 'draw
me.' I pray for the King to bring me into His
chambers (Song of Solomon 1:4) that I would
be one with whom He can share the secrets of
His heart (Psalm 25:14).
