What occupies our minds nowadays…? What do we try to achieve?

Today…
What does God’s Word have to say to us today?
Romans 8: 6-11

8:6 To set the mind on
the flesh is death, but
to set the mind on the
Spirit is life and peace.
8:7 For this reason the
mind that is set on the
flesh is hostile to God;
it does not submit to
God's law-- indeed it
cannot,
8:8 and those who are
in the flesh cannot
please God.

Things of the Flesh / Body

What is the message for TODAY?
Focusing on the self
We can be distracted by
the “flesh” things… and
miss the “spirit” things
PROBLEM?
Cannot see God
Cannot please God

Things of the Spirit

8:9 But you are not in the flesh;
you are in the Spirit, since the
Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone
who does not have the Spirit of
Christ does not belong to him.
8:10 But if Christ is in you, though
the body is dead because of sin,
the Spirit is life because of
righteousness.
8:11 If the Spirit of him who raised
Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
he who raised Christ from the dead
will give life to your mortal bodies
also through his Spirit that dwells
in you.

What is the message for TODAY?
Living or not?
The body is
dead because
of Sin, but the
Spirit of God in
us gives us life!
SOLUTION?
Let the Spirit of God continually
dwell in us… give Him full control

So... What is it like with God on our inside?

Lord, we need Your grace and mercy
We need to pray like never before
We need the power of Your Holy Spirit
To open heaven's door
Spirit touch your church….

Spirit, touch Your church, Stir the hearts of men
Revive us, Lord with Your passion once again
I want to care for others like Jesus cares for me
Let Your rain fall upon me (x2)

Lord, we humbly come before You
We don't deserve of You what we ask
But we yearn to see Your glory
Restore this dying land
