Overseeing a full professional team comprising project managers, architect, cost consultants, main & sub
contractors and an in-house estates services support staff working on corporate projects across a mixed portfolio of
owned and leased buildings contained within 46 buildings, 17 Campuses , 1.2m Square Feet of Gross Internal Floor
Area and with over 80,000 learners and 4,600 staff.;
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.; - Successful delivery of over £67m Capital Expenditure Budget (Major and Minor
Projects), £4m annual Operating Budget (Pay & Non Pay) costs.
Leading on Asset performance planning and management including data capture, making of management
recommendations to the Principal and CEO with specific responsibility for managing estates based risks and
compliance programmes.;
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.; - Transformation of space planning & management policies (utilisation/ space
standards, timetabling, space bidding & space matching processes), Introduction of procedures and
protocols for the annual Business Planning Cycle which clearly defines the NEEDS case, the PROPERTY case
and the FINANCE case before a Senior Management approval cycle is triggered.

Leading on all administrative, human resource, procurement and supplier management tasks necessary for the
delivery of the LTE Group's estates based Capex & Opex projects, deliverables, objectives and devising, developing,
setting up, implementing, actively monitoring and reviewing the estates performance in line with pre-approved
strategies and business plans.;
KEY ACHIVEMENTS .; - Reducing the LTE's Groups Estates Operating Expenditure budget by over
20% through developing procedures that ensured value for money i.e. a well defined/tested Select List of
Contractors, training needs analysis of in-house staff and developing a culture of 'check & balance' before
spending.
Leading on the technical and contractual aspects of all LTE group's estates management practices including
producing fully costed and specified designs, leading on negotiations with local authorities to achieve planning and
statutory consents and ensuring estates based Health and Safety compliance.;
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.; - among other major and minor building projects; Successfully obtained planning
consents for the refurbishment of 3 listed buildings (£8.2m total project value, Gross internal Floor Area of
over 36,000 square meters), erection of hired demountable accommodation for educational purposes (£450k
installation costs), rebranding and signage/advertising consents on 17 campuses.
Leading in the development of estates based risk condition assessments and delivery of the LTE Group's Long
Term/ Deferred, Planned & Reactive Maintenance projects and ensuring HSE compliance.
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.; - Successful assessment of Building Engineering System & Building Structures ,
Fixtures & Fittings for hazards & risks and successful implementation of maintenance programmes for a
large estate portfolio.
Leading on estates based HSE compliance work and directly managing a team of in-house Maintenance Personnel
and External Contractors.;
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.; - Successfully developed HSE Compliance Management Plans and work programmes
for Asbestos, legionella, PAT testing, electrical, gas and fire safety, accident & incident Reporting &
Investigation, COSHH, Li s and Li ing operations & compliance programmes for a complex educational
institution.
Overseeing the development of the estates CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) so ware and directly
managing the e ective deployment of the estates help desk and fault reporting function, space
management/utilisation and integration with AutoCAD,
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.;- Successfully obtained complex estates & management data that improved estates
management KPI's, property management information, Help desk & work order processes, preparation of
annual management plans including monthly performance indicators,budget projections, comparison
of the annual management plans against set budgets and advising on the adjustment of estates based
strategies accordingly.;
Coordinating a seamless commissioning, documentation and start-up transition from project to operation to
occupancy, involving both internal stakeholders and external service providers.;
KEY ACHIVEMETS.; - Successfully transformed Post Occupancy Evaluation results, manifested through sta
and learner satisfaction feedback reports on estate performance and alignment with the
NEEDs/PROPERTY & FINANCE cases.
Coordinating estates based bid proposals and the direct liaison with funding agencies including the Skills Funding,
Education Funding Agencies and keeping the LTE Group's management informed of opportunities through the
local government devolution agenda.;
KEY ACHIEVEMNTS.; - Successfully acquired over £6m in SFA Enhanced Renewal Grants and over £4m in
LEP and Energy Management Grants.
Management and monitoring of commercial leases, licences, third party hire of space to and from external
stakeholders including analysing, maintaining, reviewing and reporting on the LTE Group’s responsibilities and legal
obligations as an estate owner , landlord and tenant.;
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.; - Successfully worked with legal teams in a complex real estate environment and
produced site management plans with ownership data, obligations under leases, licences and worked with
a professional teams in formulating an Estates strategy that included disposals, acquisitions and
negotiating on lease covenants to enable an ambitious £250m Estates Strategy.
Assisting in defining project briefings, deliverables and monitoring all project stages from Strategic Definition.
KEY ACHIVEMENTS.;- Preparation of Briefs, Concept Designing, Developed designs, Technical designs,
Construction, Handover and Post Occupancy evaluations to ensure the required quality, completion within
the specified time, resource and cost constraints and reporting in a timely manner on portfolio, programme,
project and task levels including financial consumption, commitment and outturn projection.;
