1. Pasos para la Actualización de las cabinas DS4700 PORCELANOSA.

Antes de la actualización de nuestra cabina vamos a ver cuales son las versiones
existentes en la actualidad.

Vamos a: Storage Subsystem → View → Profile
Nuestras versiones son:

1.   Controller in Enclosure 85, Slot A y B: 06.16.88.00 y N1814D470R916V17.
2.   Enclosure 0, ESM Card A y B: 9865 y EXP810.
3.   Enclosure 1, ESM Card A y B: 98C1 y EXP810.
4.   Enclosure 2, ESM Card A y B: 98C1 y EXP810.

2. Los pasos a seguir para la actualización son:
1. Backup Storage Manager
-   Para cargar la configuración en caso de Vuelta atrás: Click Tools → Load Storage
    Subsystem Configuration.

-   Una estimación aproximada de tiempos:
2. Instalación/Actualización del Storage Manager 10.60 client.

-   Podemos bajarnos una versión antigua: Para Windows XP, 2000, 2003, or 2008, on
    a 32-bit platform, click:

-   Nos bajamos el software:
    http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/downloadFixes (dentro de esta
    versión tenemos el upgrade controller firmware)


3. Update ESM

Advanced → Maintenance → Download → ESM Firmware
Actualizamos a la nueva versión.

4. Update controllers 6.60.17.00 (dentro de la misma versión no hay problemas)

Advanced → Maintenance → Download → Controller Firmware
Una vez terminado!!


Advanced → Maintenance → Activate Controller -> Firmware
5. Backup Storage Manager
6. Update ESM (optional)
7. Firmware upgrade tool 7.36.17.00 (para este update tendremos que utilizar un
   software nuevo).
8. Backup Storage Manager
9. Update ESM (optional)
10. Upgrade controllers 7.50.13
11. Upgrade disks (optional)

Advanced → Maintenance → Download → Drive Firmware/Mode Pages
12. Upgrade HBA
- Linux: Qlogic SANsurfer (Windows/Linux)
-   AIX:
1. For System p microcode, refer to the IBM support Web site at the following link:
http://www.ibm.com/systems/support/supportsite.wss/brandmain?brandind=5000025
2. In the Popular links section select Download microcode and in the by device type
drop-down menu select Adapters.

3. Search for your server-specific FC adapter type. Once found, the description provides
detailed instructions on how to check the current version, install the update, and check the
results.
Select the RPM file and click Continue at the bottom of the page to download the rpm file.

4. Follow the instructions to download the file and transfer it to the /etc/microcode.
5. Unpack the transferred file in the /etc/microcode, as in the following example:
#cd /etc/microcode
#rpm -ihv --ignoreos pci.df1000f9-3-93a0.aix.noarch.rpm
Replace pci.df1000f9-3-93a0.aix.noarch.rpm with the name of the package downloaded
for your particular HBA.

6. Flash the adapter microcode:
#diag -d fcsX -T download
Where X is the number returned by the "lsdev -C | grep fcs" command.
Self-explanatory menus take you through the microcode installation. Repeat this for all the
HBAs that must be updated.

7. Verify the adapter microcode level:
#lsmcode -d fcsX
Compare the obtained level with the readme file of the downloaded code.
