Some of these formats are called, APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, and AMA. But the ones I will

Personal Narrative: My English Composition
Writing makes possible to us expressing in a paper what we cannot communicate by talking. For
this reason, the writer must make his composition readable and understandable in order to get the
idea by the reader of what he is attempting to communicate. This requires a whole writing process
that I have experienced thus far this semester in my English Composition I Honors Course. I have
recognized what my strengths and weaknesses in writing are. So that, focusing more on my
weaknesses than my strengths will help me to improve much more my writing skills by the end of

interesting introduction. During the semester, I have recognized that this is another of my

Having taken many writing classes I have learned many things about writing. I enjoy writing and
can often write many pages about things that I am interested in. I know that I have more learning to

My Experience With Writing Arguments
I am unaware of any writing arguments. The only thing I can really think of is writing a research
paper with the intent to change people's minds on a certain subject. I remember researching for
weeks in the library, looking through magazine after magazine. I had searched for enough
information to write a ten–page paper. The writing process of the paper took several weeks but
when I had finished, all the hard work was worth the effort. I learned many things from that course
such as that you need to search for all the information you can because it is better to have too much
information than not enough. Also that course taught me many things about making references to

Rough Draft Process Analysis
When beginning to write an essay everyone has their own method of doing so. Some may like to
brainstorm while others may prefer to go straight into writing about their topic. I personally
beginning every essay by collecting ideas about my topic before coordinating them into a type of

Proofreading and revising is a very crucial step in the writing process. If a person does not
proofread then the essay they worked on may not make sense and may overall confuse the reader.
Using correct punctuation shows how sentences are supposed to be read. Once I have made sure
all my sentences are grammatically correct I then compose my final copy of the essay. Writing
can be difficult if not done correctly. That is why there is a writing process to follow. Using some

My Free Rewriting Process
Freewriting has been a strategy for me in previous classes as well as on my own. When I start to
write a paper or an essay, I like to write down everything I know about the subject first, my own
thoughts and information I have stored away. In order to choose certain ideas, I compare what I
have already learned about the subject versus information I conduct research on. I tend to brainstorm

Improving My Semester In English Class
At the beginning of the semester in English class we discussed and learned different ways to
improve our writing skills, and become more proficient in editing papers. The most helpful lesson
my professor taught me was how to improve my papers with just a few steps. I learned that it takes
more than one revision to get the perfect paper, and therefore you should at least revise three times.

My Writing Center session gave me ideas to improve my essay, and it helped me gain more
confidence in my writing. Getting your paper stamped after working with a tutor at the Writing
Center, is a great way to show your professor the extra after completing my writing assigment, i

Thoughts On Outlining
My thoughts on outlining, I think outlining is a great tool and idea to help you get started to
write. It helps you get ready to write your paper, helps with structure of your paper and how and

English Reflection Paper
Being able to learn what it takes to succeed in a college level class will be a great tool for me to use
when I am continuing my education at a four year university. English 101 was my first college
level English class and was definitely an eye opening experience. I was able to see what my
professors will expect from my work, while also growing as a writer. Even though this was a life
altering experience, I did have some frustrations and struggles along the way. The quick deadlines
and flexible topic choices posed a problem for me. However, some of the essays assigned have
turned out to be some of my favorite writings that I have ever produced. This past semester has
allowed me to create an extensive writing portfolio filled with my journey of writing growth.
Having class only two days a week was a new and interesting setup. The deadlines approached
more quickly than expected, and I believe that is because of the unfamiliarity I had with the class
setup. In my high school English classes, I was use to everyday instruction, and being able to work
on my assignments during class. While writing my first paper, "Lefties: The People Who Are Still
There When Things Are Not Right," I struggled the most with the deadlines. This new journey made

One day of absence can affect you and your grade if something was missed. In the entire semester
I was unable to attend two sessions due to sickness, but I knew what had to be done and due the
next class which is what is important. I was also try a hand full of times but never to the point

During the last semester of my senior year of high school, I enrolled in Tupelo High School's
Advanced Placement Dual Credit English IV course. Ultimately, my time in Advanced English
provided me with many challenges, but also helped me recognize high points as well as my

My Writing Way
When it comes down to writing essays or anything else, I would say to myself, I know this isn't
going to be good for me at all. Mainly because I haven't because I haven't adjusted myself or

1)The planning, brainstorming, and outlining helped a lot it made me write my essay in a better
way. Outlining helped me know the main points that should be in each paragraph, that I usually
forget to include, it also helped me plan what I want to write in each paragraph. Moreover,

Reflective Essay: How Far I Done As A Writer
When looking back over the previous microthemes and papers I can see how far I have come as a
writer. At the beginning of the semester I was a poor writer who could not grasp the important
aspects of writing. I had many grammatical errors along with many underdeveloped thoughts. Even
though this class was only for a short period of time in order to learn how to write a proper academic
paper, I can see how far I have come. My papers may still be sub–par but in many aspects have come

When reading through all the grammar guys links I found that there was more than just one that was
helpful to my writing. After reading these links I finally started to understand and applying my
understandings to my essay assignments. The two that helped me the most were the links about
Citations and Commas.

Prior to completing Skip Downing's "On Course Self Assessment," I was starting to realize one of
