4. 1-Begin of press:
•Real Monarchs uses 1-4-4-2 formation with high pressure. One of the left midfielder or the
right midfielder move forward his position to press the opponent defender along with the two
Strikers.
•The pressing indicators for Real Monarchs are (1) when the opponent team makes a horizontal
pass , (2) when the opponent receive the ball back to Real Monarchs' goal, and (3) when the
ball arrives to the flank preceded of an invitational pressing.
•The pressing is tactically chaotic, making mistakes in the distances between the midfielder
line and the defender line, being vulnerable against play between lines.
•Few block situations during Real Monarchs games because when the opponent gets to
overcome the begin of press the lines are very separated, provoking situations of inferiority
defending, and benefiting the quick attack in the opponent.
•In the cases that Real Monarchs gets to reorganize its lines behind the ball. They drop till their
field with the lines very close, gathering players in active ball zone and leaving the passive ball
zone alone.
•Both Strikers helps during this period dropping their positions. This provoke that the counter
attacks from Real Monarchs are little dangerous (the team starts the attack very deep in its
field).

•Real Monarchs defends its goal with 8 players (4 from the defender line-4 from the midfielder
line).
•Excessive shifting by the center defenders when there is 1v1 situations in the flank, leaving
only two players marking in zone in the box (Not rational space occupancy).
•Coverages from left midfielder/right midfielder in 1v1 situations in the flank. Center
midfielders stay in second play zone.

Quick Atk-Def mentality change with intense and
disorganized pressure. Pressure from the players close to the active
ball zone, and movements from the players in passive ball zone
,making surveillance in the opponents close to them.
•When Real Monarchs loses the ball in its half;
The players are in wide positioning ( combinative
attacking style, with wide positioning to benefit the combinative
actions.) hinders the defending reorganization, and provoking
counter attacks situations. Players have difficult to change the Atk-
Def mentality when his team loses the ball in his own half.

•In defending counter attack situations, Real Monarchs tend to defends
this situations with 3 defenders (his combinative attacking style provokes
that the players are wide positioning, being the left defender or right
defender in forward position of the ball).
•The 3 defenders looks for defend the middle area, leaving the flanks
alone, and timing the opponent counter attack.
•Mistakes in the defensive line positioning (height and distance between
them) and slow reorganization from the players behind the ball.
•Very weak defending counter attack situations.

7. 2-Creation:
•Real Monarch uses the formation 1-4-4-2. The style of play is combinative play through short passes,
and taking too much risk in the build up.
•The Goalkeeper is active part in build up situations when the ball is close to the box. Both Center backs
move wide their positions leaving the middle for the goalkeeper.
•Left back and right back move forward their position, creating depth in Real Monarch’s build up, and
creating spaces in the middle for the uncheck support from the center midfielders.
•When Real Monarch move the ball close to the half line, one of the center midfielder drop his position
till be between both center defenders, and letting to the left back and right back to move forward
creating amplitude and depth in the team play.
•The players are separated each others, benefits the combinative play, but putting the team in high risk
in case of miss pass (High rate of miss passes during build up period).
•In finishing zone, Real Monarch looks for creating chances through individual skills.
•The movements in this zone are individuals, without follow a collective pattern.
•There is not rational occupancy of the space in lateral cross situations. Players tend to move inside
the box, leaving second play zone alone.
•Always one of the center midfielder stays in transition zone. The another center midfielder tends to
incorporate in the box.
•They create the majority of goal opportunity for the flanks.
•In creation zone, Real Monarchs gathers players in the middle area, letting the flanks for the
right back and the left back (Creation of amplitude and depth in the play).
•The midfielder line and the forward line play from the position, not in the position. Players
have freedom of movements to switch positions to occupy the space created for other
players.
•When the ball progression is close to the opponent’s box, one of the center midfielder stay
down his position, making surveillance in case of Atk-Def Transition.
•Overlap from the left back or right back in the active ball zone.
•Real Monarch only leave the two center defender in the back.

8. •Real Monarch reorganization is slow, looking for a long possession instead for a
quick attacks.
•Right midfielder and left midfielder move forward their positions, creating
space for the left back and right back. Thus, Real Monarch’s play has amplitude
to keep the ball possession.
•Center defenders move wide their positions to be an options in the ball
possession.
•Center midfielders are an important piece in the attacking reorganization, all
the play pass through them.
Counterattack:
•Counter attack is not common in Real Monarch’s play.
•The only situations where Real Monarch looks for a counter attack is when they steal the
ball in the opponent’s half.
•Quick transition in opponent’s half taking advantage of the disorganized positioning
from the opponent after a ball loss.
•Movement off ball by strikers looking for a through pass behind the opponent defender
line.
