Initial Consultation
Where appropriate low radiation digital x rays
are taken and displayed on the computer
screen. These x rays show areas between the
teeth and underneath fillings which are not
detectable with just visual examination.

A panoramic x-ray is taken in a special
machine of the entire jaws. It shows the entire
jaw areas but not in the detail of individual
films. Areas that can’t be seen with the routine
set of x-rays can be seen such as wisdom teeth,
sinuses and the joints.

• Wisdom Teeth
They are the third permanent molars and are
the last teeth to develop. They erupt or come
up into the mouth in our late teens or early
twenties. We can have up to four wisdom
teeth, two in the upper jaw and two in the
lower.
