A hundred years and a million stories is a good way
to describe the Gran Vía, Madrid’s most emblematic
avenue. The street that forever changed the appear-
ance of our city will be the undeniable star of our
magazine throughout the whole year, for in 2010, it
is celebrating its centenary. As a tribute to one of the
city’s grandest thoroughfares, we will gradually reveal
some of its secrets and the events that are being
organised for the occasion. January also welcomes
two of the most important events of the year: Fitur and
Madrid Fusión, which is why we have prepared this
issue with culinary ingredients. Madrid has flavour and

9C03, la ciudad anfitriona hará girar toda
su oferta en torno al gran acontecimiento
de 2010: el centenario de la Gran Vía,
que tendrá lugar el próximo 4 de abril.
La mítica calle se trasladará a Fitur y por
ella se sucederán multitud de actividades:
desfiles de trajes de época, exposiciones
fotográficas, ciclos de cine, conciertos…
El mejor ambiente para festejar por todo lo

gura un calendario repleto de propuestas
de ocio y cultura para que los madrileños

lo cierto es que también se aprecian to-
ques de las gastronomías libanesa, siria y
saudí. Lo suyo es más bien la cocina de
Las Mil y una Noches, donde nunca faltan
shawarmas, hummus o taboulé. La deco-
