What is Speech-Language Pathology? ,[object Object],SLPs may work with medical teams in the newborn nursery to help ill and premature infants with motor skills that are developed during the suck-swallow-breathe cycle and essential for early survival and later speech skills. What is Speech-Language Pathology? A health-related profession devoted to serving children… SLPs may assist in designing alternative communication device systems for individuals who can not speak.  Devices may be for short term use or long term use.  Devices may be very simple (pencil and paper), to “hi-tech”.

Tracking Our Graduate-Level Students Students are tracked through annual fall student orientation, a minimum of two required advisor conferences per semester, two clinical advisor conferences per semester, university auditing processes and the departmental exit interview prior to graduation. 100%, with 94% completing  in 2 years. 3.08-4.0 7  (AA Females) 10  (W Females) 2009 100%, with 94% completing  in 2 years 3.10-4.0 7  (AA Females) 12  (W Females) 2008 100% and on time for full-timers 3.11-3.81 7  (AA Females) 4  (W Females) 2007  Completed Masters GPA Gender Cohort
