To assist in jhr's mission of promoting human rights awareness globally, provide transparent insights into jhr's work, and build an expert reputation in rights media. Guiding principles include making everyone aware of their rights, being transparent and genuine, offering value and care while starting conversations, keeping posts relevant and engaging, protecting confidential information, and being insightful, optimistic, and inspiring. The goal is to have fun while promoting these principles.

- Since you are a representative ofjhr, we ask that you abide by the follow guiding principles…nothing firm or rigid, just general guidelines so that your posts are consistent with the rest of jhr programming.
- As always, our central goal will remain at the forefront. All efforts will be focused upon making our audience more aware of their human rights.
- Abide by the messaging of jhr as an organization as well as the organization’s core principles.
- Blog posts should be used to inform, entertain and enlighten audiences about your experience working and living as a radio intern. Good topics:work you may have contributed to on a series or broadcast highlighting a particular rights issue fun details from a recent workshop or eventa meeting with a journalist who has particularly inspired you humorous items about the inevitable logistical challenges of life in sub-Saharan Africa can also work.Notinteresting topics: generic rants about how bored/frustrated/tired you are by a coworker or colleague’s behavior, in-depth disclosure of last night’s blow-out beer-fest in Accra.
- try not to veer to far from your internship experience and refrain from revealing too much personal information
- Show that you appreciate the feedback you receive by responding to comments and emails, even if it is just a few words. Remember, jhr is all about creating societal dialogue on human rights issues!
