of the world by those who saw it
and the most unique missing
treasure in history.
It was a room with a dimension
of 11 feet square lined with large

carved amber tones , huge
square mirrors and four
wonderful mosaics from
Florence . The amber walls were
decked with precious stones and
decorated with valuable
collections of Prussian and
Russian artwork .

only spent only two years of
his life (1716-1718) plundering
the seas. However, he

silver from Mexico and South
America, Blackbeard and his
companions waited patiently
the Spanish ships, which were
loaded with gold and silver.

verge of revolution. As a
preventative measure, the viceroy
of Lima decided to transport the
fabulous wealth of the city in
Mexico to the preserve. The
treasure included, among others,
precious stones and two life-size
gold statues of Mary holding the
baby Jesus. The treasure filled 11

the tomb of Tutankhamen in
Egypt, Valley of the Kings in

and other artifacts that Carter
took ten years to fully
register.
7. The decimation of the Spaniards by
the Aztecs in Mexico took place on
July 1, 1520 , when Hernando Cortés
and his men were trapped in the
capital Tenochtitlán by enraged
Aztec warriors .
After days of vicious fighting ,
Cortés ordered his men to pack the
treasures of Montezuma and try to
run away at night . They failed ,
however, to leave, after the Aztecs
caught up and attacked them . The
massacre that followed filled the
lake Tezcuco with the dead bodies
of the Spaniards and the fabulous
treasures of Montezuma.
