7. Not physically dark, but spiritually and
emotionally dark.

8. Maybe someone is getting a divorce.

9. When we face hard times, life can feel hopeless.

10. Maybe someone is sick.

11. Maybe they are being bullied.

12. All of these things can be scary.

13. Be on the lookout for someone who seems
like they could use some extra hope so you
can give them love and encouragement.

14. God alone is our hope

15. Thanks to God for sending Jesus to shine His
light on this earth.

16. Thank You God for the opportunity we have to share
Jesus’ light with the kids at VBS this week.

17. Pray that we would take advantage of that opportunity to
share Jesus’ light.

18. Sal, the salamander reminds kids that Jesus gives us
hope.

23. Think about a difficult situation in your life when Jesus
gave you courage.

24. Maybe you were frightened when a family member was sick or
unemployed.

25. Maybe you had to make a tough decision.

26. Maybe you had to confront a friend or co-worker about
something.

27. Make sure to thank God for the courage He gave you.

28. Life requires courage.

29. Ask God to give you courage when you need it.

30. We face daily fears and struggles.

31. It might be a storm or going to a new school.

32. Your courage helps get you through difficult situations
that would otherwise feel impossible.

33. Mawtha, the moth wants kids to know that they don’t have to be
afraid during dark times because Jesus gives us courage.

39. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus provided direction for those
who want to follow Him.

40. When we follow Jesus’ direction we are blessed with the
overflowing peace and joy that only God can give.

41. Jesus’ directions help us to know how to live in a way
that pleases God.

43. Bible Point- Jesus Gives Us Love

44. Radar, the bat reminds us that God didn’t leave us in the dark. He
gave us Jesus and Jesus gives us direction.

We know what real love is because Jesus gave up His life for us. 1 John 3:16

46. What Jesus did on the cross was real.

47. Bible Story
Jesus dies and comes back to life. Luke 23: 1-
24:12

48. It was the greatest act of love anyone could
ever show us.

49. The reason Jesus was willing to die on the cross was to
save us from our sins so that we can spend eternity with
Him in heaven.

50. Thanks to God for sending Jesus as a sacrifice
for our sins.

51. Thanks to God for showing us such great love.

52. Pray that these children would know God’s love always.

53. Pray that you can share that love with
others.

54. Olivia, the barn owl reminds us that Jesus gives us
love.

56. Bible Verse-Our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

58. This sanctuary is full of gifted, talented, and powerful people.

59. Bible Story -Jesus ascends and empowers His followers

60. God has given each of us gifts, and the important thing to
remember is that God is the one who gave us those gifts.

61. Thank God for the power He gave you and the gifts He has given
you.

62. He gave these gifts to us so that we can further His kingdom and
bring Him glory.

64. Pray that we will effectively use those gifts every day for
the benefit of His kingdom.
