WHO HAS TO TAKE THE NCFE?
If you are in a public school in NC, you are required to take the NCFE

ON THE EXAM?
The exam contains multiple choice questions about
passages provided. The passages are typically long and
from older literature. You must be able to determine
things like key ideas and details, craft and structure, text
evidence, determine things about author's choice, craft,
and style, evaluate effectiveness, determine meaning,
using context, identifying patterns, interpret figures of
speech, analyze nuances of meaning.
WHO ADMINISTERS THE EXAM?
NCVPS does NOT administer NCFEs. You will be
responsible for meeting with your school contact to
determine where and when your NCFE will be
administered. Your school is also responsible for
calculating the % of your score in relation to your final
course grade for English 4.
