All of us are here today because we have common goal: we want to become polished Public Speakers. Toastmaster’s gives us some guidelines for how to achieve that, but coming up with our own personal styles based on our strengths is up to us! The best way to realize your strengths and opportunities for improvement is by receiving valuable feedback on your speech and speaking skills. Toastmaster’s attempts to give you this information through the use of “Evaluations” by your fellow Toastmasters. In order for the Evaluation of your speech to really help you, the evaluation needs to focus on the right information and it needs to be presented in an effective manner. Today… basics of preparing for, writing, and giving an effective evaluation Hope and Eric leave the room to prepare their oral evaluations of my speech We’ll use that time to discuss some of our own methods for preparing evaluations. Discuss your results Any other questions or suggestions you might have. Now… let’s begin learning to “Evaluate to Motivate”!
