Role : Selenium Automation Engineer
Project Scope : Automation Test Engineer and Hadoop Developer and Tester
This is a Web Application that enables the business owner to monitor, control, maintain and enhance his
business constantly and define new business rules as suits the situation. This application is very flexible in
functioning and allows the business owner to redefine business strategies at the same rate at which the
business changes. The application provides many options to monitor the Patients through patients groups
and enhanced search options thereby making the application more user friendly to the application.
Responsibilities:
In Hadoop:
• Moved all crawl data flat files generated from various retailers to HDFS for further
processing
• Written the Apache PIG scripts to process the HDFS data.
• Created Hive tables to store the processed results in a tabular format
• Developed the sqoop scripts in order to make the interaction between Pig and MySQL
Database.
• Writing the script files for processing data and loading to HDFS
• Writing CLI commands using HDFS.
• Analyzing the requirement to setup a cluster
• Created two different users (hduser for performing hdfs operations and mapreduce for
performing map reduce operations only)
• Moved all log/text files generated by various products into HDFS location
• Written Mapreduce code that will take input as log files and parse the logs and structure them
in tabular format to facilitate effective querying on the log data

department. This application is very flexible in functioning and allows the business owner to redefine
business strategies at the same rate at which the business changes. It offers an opportunity for the business
owner to include new modules, offers, discounts apart from multiple options and related products to be
marketed to suit the needs of his customers. The application provides many options to monitor the
customers through customer groups and enhanced search options thereby making the application more
user friendly to the Supervisor.
The supervisor can easily maintain information about new product launches and also keep the
customer posted about these products. It also can offer many subscriptions to the customer with different
privileges to further enhance the customer base.
