2. I tried to attract my preliminary
audience by presenting them
with information that may
interest them as it affects them
personally. This is done by using
BOLD headlines
on the front of the magazine as
this way it is easy to inform the
audience on what the magazine
is all about.

3. We also used the school
colours of white, red and
blue, as to give the idea of
uniformity and so that the
students know that the
magazine belongs to them.

4. MAIN
For the main task, I used several aspects I saw
being used by already existing magazines that
seemed to be successful in helping to attract a
prospective consumer.
5. MAIN
One of these includes using BOLD HEADLINES on the front cover of the most
interesting and important articles. These articles are usually involving prominent celebrities
or ongoing popular trends. This is most likely to attract them as they will want to know
about these things as to have the latest knowledge of their favourite people or get involved.
6. MAIN
Another method was to use bright colours- not only on the front cover, but
throughout, so that the audience does not get bored. This also makes the magazine
attractive on the shelf, and therefore more noticeable to the buyer.
7. MAIN
The colours I used were (in this issue) were
pink, blue and a little purple. I chose these
colours so that the magazine may appeal to
both girls and boys between 13 and 18. The
colours are also limited so that I don’t use too
many and make it look too childish and put my
audience off buying it.
8. The way I address the audience
throughout is also engaging and not to
patronising. The language used is easy,
informal- much like the language
teenagers use every day, but again, not
too childish.
