Patrick Baugier studied law at the University D'Assas in Paris before gaining considerable experience in the fields of finance and viticulture. Harnessing that extensive experience, he founded Metrowine in 1988, and set about providing the American market with some of the finest French wines ever produced. His own determination and love of wine were the driving forces behind the incredible success of Metrowine, which is now Bordeaux's second largest wine dealer with more than 4,500 accounts. Patrick Baugier has forged an internationally renowned reputation for excellence in wine production - one of the reasons why many of the world's top chefs are among his most loyal clients. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of wine-growing, and the commercial success he had enjoyed, Baugier founded Vintage Capital Wine with the intention of distributing his impressive portfolio of fine wines across America. He then built on that commercial success story by becoming the CEO of Capital Millesime SAS, which enjoys lucrative relationships with more than 175 grape growers in Bordeaux. Patrick Baugier's passion, dedication and extensive knowledge has transformed Metrowine into one of New York's largest distributors of Bordeaux wine. An unwavering attention to detail, renowned customer service and a reputation for reliability have made Metrowine a major player in the U.S. wine market. Baugier's renowned company is now expanding rapidly, and its impressive portfolio of Bordeaux wines is now distributed across the country from facilities in Connecticut and New York.
