A
re you between the ages of 5 and 13? Do you like to
discover fun ways to spend the winter? Would you like
to learn some skills that you can use the rest of your life?
Be a Nordic Kid!
At Winter Park we believe that children should have ample
opportunities to have fun through ski games and on-snow-play
while learning to cross-country ski. This is what Nordic Kids is
all about. Be a Nordic Kid!
Our program is divided into four levels, which gives us the
flexibility to include children of all abilities. After a brief large
group lesson each week, we break into our small groups to work
on new skills, take a ski tour, or play ski games. Sometimes we’ll
organize a picnic, treasure hunt or other special activity. This year,
we’re planning a Nordic Kids Family Fun Ski Festival on March
2nd to close the program with. Be a Nordic Kid!
We meet at Winter Park on six Sunday afternoons from 2-
4pm, beginning on January 20th. The cost for the season is $35
per child. Parents skiing along with their children can ski free.
For more information and to request registration forms,
contact either Megan Rudisill at 358-5243 or Minocqua Winter
