Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 Had configured, installed, and implemented more 8 Oracle Database RAC (2-node each) Databases for MTN Nigeria.
 Lead team player in the migration of more than forty Oracle Databases to RMAN managed backups via VERITAS Netback up tool ranging from one terabyte to tens of terabytes.
 Provided technical and administrative support for Oracle/SQL Server Production and Development databases.
 Responsible for managing of physical standby databases for disaster recovery.
 Upgraded Oracle database from 9i to 10g and from 10g to 11gR1/R2 in Dev, Test, QA and Production environments with little downtime.
 Applied reasonable number of Oracle PSU patches in line with MTN Nigeria’s policies.
 Expert in the use of RMAN tool to Backup, Restore and Recover databases, even with VERITAS Netbackup third part tool.
 Providing extensive developer support.
 Had tested different scenarios of RMAN Backups, Restore and Recovering in order to reduce unscheduled downtime in case of any data corruption or loss of data.
 Had been fully engaged in a number of scheduled and unscheduled Disaster Recovery exercises.
