21. The surest way to avoid transmission of
sexually transmitted diseases:
Abstinence from sex is the best form of
prevention.
Having sex with only one uninfected
partner whom only has sex with you
(mutual monogamy).

intervention, treatment and follow-up are
important steps in breaking the disease
cycle.

recent sex partners so that they can see a
health care provider and be treated.
This reduces the risk that the sex partners
will develop complications and reduces
the risk that the person with will become
re-infected.
