“Found her in the form of Ashol Pan, the daughter of an experienced eagle hunter around Han Gohadok, which is south of Ulgii. She was perfect. I was amazed by her comfort and ease as she began handling the grand eagle for the first time in her life. She was fearlessly carrying it on her hand and caressing it somewhat joyfully.”

Ronda is a city in the Spanish province of Málaga. It is located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) west of the city of Málaga with a population of approximately 35,000 inhabitants. Ronda was first settled by the early Celts, who, in the 6th century BC, called it Arunda. Later Phoenician settlers established themselves nearby to found Acinipo, known locally as Ronda la Vieja, Arunda or Old Ronda. The current Ronda is however of Roman origins, having been founded as a fortified post in the Second Punic War, by Scipio Africanus. Ronda received the title of city at the time of Julius Caesar. The city is situated in a very mountainous area about 750 meters (2,460 ft) above mean sea level. The Guadalevin River runs through the city, dividing it in two and carving out the steep, 100 plus meters deep El Tajo canyon upon which the city perches.

The highly anticipated Discovery of King Tut exhibition in New York city opens this weekend and will run through May 1, 2016. It was nearly a century ago (1922) that archaeologist Howard Carter captured the world’s imagination with the astounding discovery of the undisturbed tomb of Tutankhamun.

India's Supreme Court has recognised transgender people as a third gender, in a landmark ruling that may offer gay people a glimmer of hope. "It is the right of every human being to choose their gender," the court said in granting rights to those who identify themselves as neither male nor female. The court ordered the government to provide transgender people with quotas in jobs and education in line with other minorities, as well as key amenities.

To see the world’s biggest bonfire you’ll have to visit Alesund, Norway, where wood pallets are stacked over 40 meters (131 ft) high on an artificial island. The occasion? Sankthans, or ‘Midsummer’, an annual festival in commemoration of John the Baptist’s birth. The day is celebrated on the 24th of June (around summer solstice) in Scandinavian countries and other parts of Europe.

In 2001 John Bramblitt changed his epilepsy medication. Unfortunately his body had a bad reaction to the new medicine and his epileptic seizures got so severe that the damage caused his vision to go from 20/400 (double the limit for legal blindness) to complete blindness. While John maintained light perception he was no longer able to see shadows or color. Strangely, it wasn’t until John lost his eyesight that he started to paint. Below you will find some of John’s amazing paintings along with insight into how he paints. On his website FAQ John goes into tremendous detail about his thoughts on blindness and how it has changed his outlook on life. Be sure tocheck it out if you want to learn more about John and his condition.
