Love mtns and outdoors
Climate change threatens the people and places that I love
What do you care about?
Alaska- permafrost melting
(I wanted to be out in wilderness, I realized there was no wilderness left- everywhere on earth touched by humans, even if not directly).
So I came back to my roots, studying wine/ag- this was the biggest change people have made to the planet.
Trees marching up hills
Oldest living creatures on earth, over 4,000 years. Seedlings when the Great Pyramids (?) were being built. Witness to centuries of change. They’ve never lived through a change like this. They can’t keep up.
This is where I come from
Been in sweden since 2010, very lucky to make my career here
I still have deep ties to my roots
This is my family’s vineyard in Sonoma, California
Grew up in a beautiful place- surrounded by nature, loved being outside.
Winegrowing region, economy and identity of the place.
Livelihood, identity, the nature of the place where I’m from
PhD- cc is redrawing the map.
