Peer-to-peer fundraising by its definition is an inherently social way to fundraise for causes. We wanted to dig into the question: Does social engagement affect peer-to-peer fundraising results. The teams at Kimbia, LeadPup and CASA of Travis County teamed up to answer this question through analyzing data from CASA's superhero run data.

.
2010 IS WHEN THE THEME CHANGED, AND SINCE THEN WE HAVE SEEN HUGE GROWTH
In 2008 and 2009 the theme was Speak up for kids
In 2010 we decided to change the theme to Superhero to make it more interesting.
In 2013 we switched to Kimbia and saw a big spike from that, in making it easier
In 2016 we had hired someone to support this program and the fundraisers and that saw another big spike. We also moved the venue back to a place more centrally located.
Social-media-active do not give or raise more often. (It’s not a good predictor of behavior)
But they do give and raise more. (Quality over quantity)
Superstar Fundraisers play a big role. (Identify and cultivate them)
