Yellowstone National Park was once home to dinosaurs and a rainforest. It was first discovered by travelers and hunters and established as a national park in 1872. The park is known for its geothermal features like Old Faithful geyser, which erupts around every 65 minutes, as well as its diverse wildlife such as bears, wolves, and moose. Major fires in 1988 destroyed much of the park's forests.
