The Glue Talent Showcase is a unique tool for job seekers to present themselves in a complete, compelling, and informative way that makes their individual talents and personal brand shine through in one powerful, web-based profile. This presentation will help you understand how to get started populating your Talent Showcase.
2. Front Page Upon Registration
• Your front page consists of 5 “Galleries”
• The “Brief”, “Resume”, “First Impression Video”, and
“Assessment” galleries are all pre-formatted for specific
use/content types
• Click gallery icons to enter information or upload content
3. Brief
• Account Information transfers from registration
• Make sure to save each section (headshot, education, etc.)
• Information won’t show up in your Brief until headshot and
personal brand statement are saved.
4. Glue Assessment
• The Glue Assessment consists of a series of preference-type
questions measured from “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree”
• Progress is displayed on the top right corner of the gallery box
• Any skipped pages will re-appear before you complete the
assessment
• Once you’ve completed, it takes a moment for results to appear.
5. Resume & Cover Letter
• Click browse to find and upload your resume from your computer
• Your resume title will only be seen if you add your cover letter (i.e.
when there are two pieces of content in your gallery – see page 8 for
more detail).
6. First Impression Video – Upload
• Your First Impression Video uploads in two stages.
• The first stage uploads your video into Glue’s database.
• The progress of your upload is signified by the progress bar
• Do not close the gallery box when your video is uploading or you’ll
have to do it again.
7. First Impression Video – Processing
• Once your video has uploaded into Glue’s database (100% in
progress bar), you’ll be notified on the top left of the page.
• The “Processing” icon means your video is being prepared to be
viewed within your Talent Showcase.
• When “Processing”, you can close out of the gallery or even log-out
of Glue. A thumbnail will appear when the video is ready.
8. User-Defined Content
• To rename your user-defined gallery, click “Rename Gallery” on the
right side of the box. Click “save” in the header after renaming.
• Upload content by going through the same “Browse” process as
you did with your resume (see page 5).
• To upload additional content in an individual gallery, click the +
icon in the gallery footer, adjacent to the thumbnail of existing content.
9. Add Content Galleries
• You can add as many user-defined content galleries as you’d like.
• Click “Add Gallery” and a “New Gallery” will appear to the right of
your front page.
• New Galleries can be re-sized by dragging the bottom right corner of
the gallery box.
10. Share Talent Showcase™
• Click the “Share” icon at the bottom of your page to send your Talent
Showcase to others.
• Enter an email address in the “to” field & type a message above the link.
• The link is unique to your Talent Showcase.
11. How Others Interact with
Your Talent Showcase™
• Everything in your Talent Showcase is the same except the “Contact” &
“Rate” icons.
• People that view your Talent Showcase can “Contact” you directly.
• The “Rate my Talent Showcase” icon enables people to give you
feedback on your presentation. Only you will see this information.
12. Talent Showcase™ Analytics
• Communicates how others have interacted with your Talent Showcase™
via page views and time on site.
• Calculates the average “Rate” score
• Aggregates “Rate” feedback and “Contact” messages
13. Technical Considerations
• The thumbnail for documents & PDFs teases the top left of the (first) page.
• The First Impression Video thumbnail is taken about 5 seconds in.
• If using a phone to create your First Impression Video, shoot in
“horizontal” view, otherwise your video will be displayed sideways.
• Glue is optimized for the most recent and second most recent edition of
all major browsers. Older editions will have display errors.
14. More Technical Considerations
• All file types are accepted except .exe and .mov files.
• If using an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, make sure to save your videos as .MP4,
not .MOV.
• If you encounter any minor visual errors, simply refresh the page to correct
the issue.
