13. Business Process Architecture
The objective of Business Process Architecture is
to provide the framework for combining change
in business processes with implementation of
software applications.
In this process, standard templates are used to
map the application’s functions and features to
standard business processes.
The project team can examine the processes
appropriate for the application and then make
business-focused decisions either to change
the current processes to suit the application or
to customize the application.
14. Business Process Definitions
The objective of Business Requirements Definition
is to define the business requirements of the new
applications system. These requirements are
used as input to the Future Process Model.
The Business Requirements Scenarios, list the
necessary steps for executing a business
function within a business process; some of the
steps may be application-specific, and some may
be manual.
To confirm that business needs are met, later we
will map these requirements against application
functions and features in Business
Requirements Mapping.
15. Business Requirements Mapping
The objective of Business Requirements Mapping is to create
an acceptable and feasible solution that is proven and
becomes well documented.
The objective of mapping is to ascertain the fitness for use of
application features in satisfying detailed business
requirements expressed at a business process step level
— and then to make a formal disposition of any and all
identified gaps.
Each business process step relates to one or more
application screens, reports, and inquiries. As a starting
point, use the approved Business Requirements Scenarios
for a given business process. Usually this means that the
mapping team has a formal statement of requirements and
their sources.
16. Application and Technical Architecture
The objective of Application and Technical Architecture is to
design information systems architecture to realize the
business vision.
The process takes the business and information systems
requirements and develops a blueprint for deploying and
configuring the system.
Module Design and Build
The objective of Module Design and Build is to focus on the
design and development of customizations to satisfy
functionality gaps identified during Business
Requirements Mapping.
17. Data Conversion & Migration
The objective of Data Conversion is to convert and test all
necessary legacy data for the operation of the new system.
The first step is to explicitly define the data as business
objects to be converted, along with their source systems.
A business object is a physical or logical object of
significance to a business.
Business objects include Customers, Projects, Vendors,
Items, etc…, we also need this data for business system
testing.
Most of the Data directly imported thru defined Templates.
Documentation
The objective of Documentation is to augment the standard
MS Dynamics Axapta 2009 Applications manuals with
specific information about the organization’s application
extensions and specific business procedures.
18. Business System Testing &
Performance Testing
The objective of Business System Testing is to test the
quality of all of the elements of the application system.
Business System Testing emphasizes a common planning
approach for all types of testing and advocates the reuse
of deliverable components to test successively larger
aspects of the application system.
Parallel run with all legacy system’s options & reports, till we
get desired results up to minimum level of acceptance for
switching completely to new system.
Adoption and Learning
Adoption and Learning focuses on the use and acceptance of
new applications by all users and the optimization of
organizational performance, including the trainings of all
level of Key Users & Management.

1 -- Normally Finance, Purchases, HR & Projects & Stores SR 30 Salary
5,000 150,000 1,800,000
Departments need 30 to 40 employees for their routine tasks
and they have so many duplication of information every were,
most of time they are engaged in reconciliation with each
other plus the individual legacy system did not provide all
information at same platform & patterns as required by the
Management and other information users like vendors,
subcontractors, Customers etc.
2 -- After successful implementation of Axapta, you need 15 15 6,000 60,000 720,000
to 20 trained persons, due to less work load in reconciliation
and most of the data is interconnected with each other like
Payroll information is interconnected with HR Department plus
Project department has entered their actual expenses on daily
basis and no need to compile them again. The Customers &
Vendor's balances tallied at every stage and you always have
correct & authentic information.
3 -- Savings in Controlling of Inventory, You exactly know
where, what & How many stock available, plus their other
parameters like their average cost, expiry date, minimum
level, vendor info, etc. can be access any time.
