The Journey begins back in 2001 with renting the land of 2 acres fully compacted with huge numbers and species of local tress. Some of them have already been extinct from Bangladesh. We have listed 122 species so far. Since then our initiative is continuing with the support of local school children. They have a class on nature here.

15. The large pond is used for rice cultivation in dry season. Other period it was a heaven of
local fishes of 23+ species

25. The small plot is used for organic vegetables, children produce seedlings for sharing
among themselves, rest period is used as play ground.

47. Local union Chairman is regularly providing us with the license. But for the first time he
expressed his disappointment with our financial status “Most of your friends are
millionaire”

48. Local fishes are gone from the pond due to intensive mono fish culture in last three
years. We have started to reintroducing them

50. A tree died. It will be used for making a meeting
house there
