EAP Plus
Everyone needs a little help now and then. With over 30 years of experience, Magellan is the industry leader in providing Employee Assistance
Programs. Our EAP Plus program includes the following comprehensive array of features.
• Access to services 24/7
• Clinical first answer – clinicians answer the phones and provide unlimited phone consultation and problem solving
• Dedicated toll‐free telephone number
• Crisis intervention/stabilization – clinicians assist over the phone and in person with the aftermath of trauma such as robbery, death
of an associate, or natural disasters
• Referrals to EAP counselors as needed for in‐person counseling
• Referrals to community resources
• Expanded EAP services include dependent care issues
• Telephonic coaching as appropriate
• Specialized Magellan EAP network including psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers who are at minimum Master’s level
prepared, have at least five years experience, and are licensed and certified in their state

1‐6 EAP Plus Session Model
The Kroger EAP is a 1‐6 session model, which means that members can seek up to six counseling sessions per problem per year at no cost to
them. The 1‐6 model is highly effective in resolving problems without having to go into more expensive benefits. These six sessions are in
addition to unlimited telephonic support.

• Handling relationship issues
• Balancing work and life
• Quitting tobacco, alcohol or drug use, including help if a member of the family has a problem
• Caring for children or aging parents
• Exploring career development options
• Dealing with conflict or violence
• Working through grief and loss issues
• Controlling depression and anxiety
Confidentiality
The EAP is completely confidential. At no time will Magellan report the names or divisions of Kroger associates who utilize this service unless
the associate signs a written release form.
