Consumer awareness about the solar rooftop and its market acceptance is the most significant challenge in promoting solar energy, which is having a social bias. In a developing country affordability in the residential sector is much lower than in an advanced country, where 60 to 70% use of solar rooftop is growing in the residential sector.

CHAPTER 5 : FINDING AND CONCLUSION
This chapter accentuates the extracts and findings that have been derived from the entire
research work made through Primary and secondary data and also the additional
information acquired from the respondents who felt it likely to spontaneously talk about
their experience, good or bad. This chapter is divided in three sections, namely findings
from the analysis, findings from the review of literature, findings from the additional
information from the research field.
Findings from the analysis
The research work and the analysis of the data base acquired through the survey
conducted on 100 respondents in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar area, has helped
deriving a lot of interesting facts about the electricity usage. Though due to the
research being conducted only within the geographical area of Ahmedabad and
Gandhinagar the conclusions might not be the ultimate or universal yet it helps
having an insight into various facts which is also a part of the objective of the
study conducted. The major findings are –
From univariant analysis we found that people use torrent power for
electricity suppliers for ahmedabad and gandhinagar
Maximum bill of respondents are 14000 and minimum bill is 200.average
maximum bill is 5500 and minimum is 1400(rs.)
We can provide them a better option like solar products to reduce the
electricity bill.
Torrent power has a problem with the safety and security but availability
and price are affordable for everyone.
It is a disadvantage for solar products companies because sun is not
available 24/7.
They are more influencing by social media and word of mouth so try to
influence by other media if possible.
From the bivarient analysis of disadvantages of solar products I found that
space are not available and intial cost are too high is the major problem.
Reducing the electricity bill and source of income from selling so it is the
major benefits get as per respondents.
Only 35% people said that solar products will work so work on it for
influence more and more people to increase this number.

Here 36% people will finance from own money but majority of people do
not know about the subsidy which is given by the government.
Major Findings from review of literature
The research paper on African people have a solar adoption or
awareness. The study concludes that if consumers cannot identify the
relative advantage of solar power over their current source of power
supplied readily and cheaply through the national grid, it is unlikely
that wide-scale adoption will follow.
As per the geographical location of the country, India stands to its
benefit and has Tremendous scope of generating solar energy. Solar
Power Generation alone can cater more than 60-65% of our entire
need of power.
Thus, we have to focus on Following future plans of installing large
projects in Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir where as in Uttar-
Pradesh, Banda district is most suitable location to cater our need of
Uttar-Pradesh.
Apart from above, we also have to focus on Roof Top Solar Energy
Generation that may cut down our need to more than 50% need of
every house hold.
Solar photovoltaic rooftop has emerged as a potential green
technology to address climate change issues by reducing reliance on
conventional fossil fuel based energy.
With a strong commitment to increase the renewable sources based
energy capacity to 175 GW by 2022, India has a target to install 100
GW of solar energy capacity. Of this 40 GW would be the share of
grid connected solar PV rooftop

Major findings from the research field
People are highly satisfied with availability of torrent power electricity
suppliers but they are not satisfied with the safety and security of
electricity.
Respondents are not aware about the solar products and the future of it.
If sun light are not available they have to use the local electricity suppliers
and it will become costly
Initial cost is too high and returns on investments are zero.
Space is not available in case of flats so government should work on it.
People said that problem with the proper awareness given by the
government like how much money it takes to establish the solar penal?,
People have a problem with the system if system will move from the
establish setup then it will not generate the electricity and technician not
given a proper answer to them.
Advertisements about solar products are less so people cannot get the full
attention towards it.

CONCLUSION
The research was conducted mainly within the premises of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar,
only with a sample of 100 people. People use torrent power as a electricity supplier in
ahmedabad and gandhinagar and availability and price of the electricity is affordable for
them.first of all talk about the disadvantages like space are not available who live in a
flats/apartment,intial cost is too high, electricity is not continuous, not proper
knowledge, less technician are available and advantages like selling of extra electricity to
government and get the money from government, free electricity after 1 to 2
years, benefits for environment.ahmedabad and gandhinagar area have a good experience
with the torrent power like if electricity will not provide by them then they inform by
personal message.they do not have a proper guidance about the solar energy and
government initiative for subsidy on solar products.(30 to 40% by government).
