2. Production company
Our production company is Indian
paintbrush. This is a company which
focuses of producing indie films, and has
done many films of a similar genre to our
film. This means that our audience may see
the company ident and associate it with
other films they have seen by the same
company.
Because indie films are often made up of
various companies working together to
disperse the costs of producing the film,
we used a second production company.
Which is our own company Ladder Tights
films. Because this is the main company we
put more work into presenting the
company ident so to leave a mark in our
audience and make it more interesting.
3. Distribution company
Our original distribution company was
Fox Searchlight pictures. This Is an ideal
company for our film because it has the
money to market our film and make it
available to our audience. It’s
investment in advertising could mean
the film makes more profit, also the
name alone can make people more
likely to watch it even if they aren’t
used to viewing indie films.
Because we were having issues with
copyright in using the clip of the Fox
Searchlight ident. We were forced to
pick another company to used. We
ended up using MGM which isn’t as
appropriate but hopefully gives a
similar effect.
4. Exhibition
ICO independent cinema office, a
company that specializes in selling
independent films that appeal to a wide
range of different audiences and helps
those audiences find new films, it also
organizes film related events that would
be a time and place for our film to be
relieved to an audience that is looking
for something new.
Traditionally exhibition company indents
are not found in the title opening of the
film.
