2. The Installation
Aristotele’s Lantern is a site specific instal-
lation which rises from the fictional scenery
evoked by the seaside and the mediterranean en-
vironment.
The sculpture appears as if it was shaped by the
sea and returned to the beholder according to the
formal coherence suggested by the natural idea
of corrosion, erosion and organic manufacturing.
The Aristotele’s Lantern is made out of raw solid
fir, and it is finished burning the wooden surface to
get a darker patina and to give a natural coating
without using any varnish or synthetic product.
The protected space of the Lantern can host a
small audience, creating an intimate budoir or
can valorize any objects if exposed into it.

5. AtelierFraSe research
AtelierFraSe is an architectural and design workshop.
The work of AtelierFraSe is developed through a creative process, starting from the concepting and the designing of interven-
tions; it reaches their physical realization always made by the hands of the same projecting subject.
Fundamental point of this process is the way in which the role of the architect merges with the processes and techniques of arts
and crafts, without the need to delegate to anybody else any formal modification. This is the point of strength of the work of
AtelierFraSe: original intentions have in this way full consistency with the final outcome.
Through this creative method closer both to art and architecture, AtelierFraSe designs and manufactures architectural interven-
tions, as elements of domestic furniture of private dwellings and shops, sets for events and happenings, sculptures and instal-
lations.
Francesco Gorni and Serena Montesissa founded AtelierFraSe in 2009.
