How does your media product represent particular social groups?
it will attract people, who are more interested in the art and characters rather than the things in a story, people who are like this are usually part of the socio-economic classes of C1-B. As my film is based on older teenagers and all the characters are female, I would say that the audience’s age group and gender would be that same.
My film particularly challenges any ideologies. it’s just a story about how a girl changes into something horrible because of the way she is treated, in this way it shows the reality of people’s lives, it is in this way that the film attracts more a more intellectual audience. they aren’t purely watching this film for the thrill of a horror like a mainstream audience might, but for the story line.
In some way it does show a Dominant Ideology that bulling people can cause massive consequences because of how wrong it is. Again this goes with the stereotype that it is mainly intelligent and different people who get bullied, and that is the physiographic profile of the target audience.
